On December 7, 2024, over 300 students from 15 educational institutions across Greece came together for the inaugural Hellenic University Hackathon (UniHack)! UniHack aimed to unite students passionate about cybersecurity, providing them with a unique opportunity to hone their skills, connect with like-minded peers, and tackle 18 challenging cybersecurity problems in a competitive environment.

UniHack aspires to establish itself as a recurring event, fostering a strong cybersecurity community. Plans are already underway for the 2025 event, which promises to bring even more participants and institutions together!
This initiative was supported by the Cybersecurity and AI Technologies postgraduate program and several European projects, including AIAS, ERATOSTHENES, ENTRUST, NITRO, CYBERUNITY, RESCALE, and CHRISS. Before the competition began, these projects were presented to participants at the University of Piraeus, highlighting cutting-edge developments in cybersecurity and AI.
